General terms and conditions of sale 2026
Dear customer, please read the following terms and conditions carefully.
Booking a holiday implies full acceptance of our terms and conditions.
Booking conditions
Rentals are personal and it is forbidden to sublet or transfer the pitch to a third party. Bookings only become effective with the agreement of the campsite, after receipt of the deposit and after receipt of either the booking contract, duly completed and signed, or acceptance of the general terms and conditions of sale when booking online.
The Domaine De Gil campsite offers family holidays, in the traditional sense, and the accommodation is specially designed for this purpose. Domaine De Gil reserves the right to refuse any booking which is contrary to this principle, or which seeks to deviate from it.
Minors must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.
Before returning the contract, please check availability with the campsite’s reservations department.
CAMPING PITCH
The basic package includes a pitch for a tent, caravan or camper van for 1 or 2 people, access to sanitary facilities and reception facilities. Dogs are strictly forbidden on the campsite in high season. We reserve the right to refuse access to the campsite to families arriving with an animal.
RENTALS
The rental accommodation is fully equipped: furniture, crockery, pillows and duvet. The basic package is for 2 to 8 people, depending on the type of accommodation. As stated in our brochure and on our website, each accommodation or camping pitch is designed for a specific number of people. For safety and insurance reasons, the maximum number of occupants may not be exceeded. Furthermore, a baby is considered to be a person in its own right. The Domaine de Gil reserves the right to refuse access to the campsite to groups or families arriving with a number of participants greater than the capacity of the rented accommodation. Remember to bring your own sheets, fitted sheets and pillowcases.
The presence of pets is strictly subject to prior approval from the campsite management. Pets are only allowed during the low season and exclusively in mobile homes identified on our website with the “Pet friendly” icon.
In mobile homes not displaying this icon, pets (dogs, cats, rabbits, etc.) are strictly prohibited, including keeping animals outside the accommodation or inside vehicles.
During the high season, pets are strictly forbidden throughout the entire campsite, including all types of accommodation and pitches.
The campsite management reserves the right to refuse access to the campsite or accommodation, or to terminate the stay without refund, for any guest arriving with a pet without prior authorization or failing to comply with these conditions.
GROUP BOOKINGS
Any booking of more than 4 accommodations by the same individual or by different individuals who know each other and are travelling together for the same reasons on the same dates is considered to be a group. Our accommodation is exclusively for individuals. For all group booking requests, you must contact us by telephone, e-mail or via our Contact Us section. We reserve the right to examine the booking request before accepting or refusing it.
RATES AND TOURIST TAX
- The prices or information published on our website are basic rates. They correspond to one night and are in euros, including 10% TVA.
These rates do not include ancillary services (texts and photographs are non-contractual).
Any subsequent change in the applicable TVA rate between the time the rates were determined and the time the holiday was invoiced will result in a corresponding change in the price including TVA, which the customer accepts unreservedly.
Domaine de Gil uses dynamic pricing. As a result, rates are subject to change throughout the season, both upwards and downwards.
Membership benefits and special offers cannot be applied to a booking that has already been paid for in full or in part.
- The tourist tax is €0.59/day/person over 18 (2025).
The tourist tax is clearly shown on the bill. Tourist tax varies from one commune and country to another.
The tourist tax is collected on behalf of the municipalities and may be increased by an additional departmental tax.
The cost of the tourist tax is likely to change during the year and may therefore have an upward or downward impact on the total amount of the stay.
ECO PARTICIPATION
Our operation is subject to taxes for the abstraction of natural resources (clean water) and the reprocessing of waste (wastewater, household waste). This is a budgetary impact with a compensation and awareness-raising value of €0.31/day/person (2025).
TERMS OF PAYMENT
For bookings made more than 30 days before the start of the holiday, a deposit of 30% (with a minimum of €150) of the price of the services booked, plus €30 administration costs and cancellation insurance, if applicable, must be paid at the time of the booking.
The balance must be paid no later than 30 days before arrival. For bookings made less than 30 days before the start of the holiday, the full amount must be paid on the day of booking. Similarly, if you book a stay of less than 7 days, you will be asked to pay the full amount at the time of the booking.
Payment methods: CB, Visa, Eurocard, Mastercard, bank cheques in euros cleared in France, holiday vouchers, bank transfers. In the absence of full payment 30 days before your arrival, the Domaine De Gil campsite reserves the right to consider the reservation cancelled. Payments made will not be refunded.
PLEASE NOTE: NO CHEQUES WILL BE ACCEPTED AT THE CAMPSITE LESS THAN 30 DAYS BEFORE ARRIVAL.
ABSENCE OF RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
In accordance with article L121-19 of the French Consumer Code, Le Domaine De Gil informs its customers that the sale of accommodation services provided on a specific date, or at a specific frequency, is not subject to the provisions relating to the 14-day withdrawal period.
STAY
Arrival and departure on the day of your choice, except in July and August. The minimum length of your stay varies according to the period and type of accommodation, details in our brochure and on our website.
1. Arrival
Campsite pitches: arrival from 2pm to 7pm. Connection to the electricity terminals must be made using cables and plugs that comply with current legislation. Please allow for a cable length of 50 meters and a European adapter. The campsite is unable to supply the above equipment. Departure no later than 12.00 noon. Any plot not vacated by 12.00 pm will be automatically billed for an extra night.
For all accommodation: arrival from 4.00 pm to 7.00 pm. Departure before 10.00 am. A deposit will be required when the keys are handed over.
The ‘PARKING’ area of the rental is designed for one vehicle only; all other vehicles must park outside the campsite.
Late arrivals must be notified before 6 p.m. so that the campsite can make arrangements. If you wish to arrive in the morning, you will need to book the night before. All late arrivals must be reported to the campsite so that the accommodation can be retained. The manager reserves the right to dispose of the pitch if there is no news within 24 hours of the scheduled arrival date. Payments made will not be refunded.
Any change in the number of people that could lead to a variation in the amount of the rental charge must be notified on arrival (tourist tax, additional person compared to the capacity of the accommodation, etc.). In the event of an inaccurate declaration by the customer, this contract will be terminated automatically and the sums paid will be retained by the owner. It is compulsory to respect the campsite’s internal rules.
The campsite reserves the right to refuse access to people arriving with a number of participants greater than the package offered, the capacity of the accommodation rented and if the names do not match on arrival.
2. During your stay
Each cottage contains all the cooking and eating equipment, as well as bedding (except for sheets and towels). The inventory is distributed on arrival. It is the tenant’s responsibility to check the inventory and report any discrepancies on the same day.
Any dissatisfaction concerning the state of cleanliness or the general condition of the rental property must be notified no later than 24 hours after arrival, so that remedial action can be taken. No complaint will be accepted more than 24 hours after the day of arrival.
It is the camper’s responsibility to take out insurance: campers are responsible for looking after their personal belongings (bicycles, etc.). The campsite declines all responsibility in the event of an incident for which the camper is liable.
All guests must comply with the house rules. Each tenant is responsible for any disturbance or nuisance caused by people staying with him or visiting him.
3. Visitors
For security reasons, visitors must register with reception on arrival before visiting a resident, where they will be given a wristband. Access to the aquatic area is strictly forbidden to all visitors. The management reserves the right to refuse access to the campsite to unregistered people.
Supplements: any undeclared supplement (extra person, dog, etc.) discovered during an inspection during the stay will be billed to the customer from the date of arrival.
4. Departure
Rental accommodation: On the day of departure indicated on your contract, the rental accommodation must be vacated before 10 a.m. by appointment made at reception. The accommodation will be left in a clean and tidy condition, and the inventory will be checked. You will be responsible for any broken or damaged items, and for restoring the property if necessary.
The deposit will be returned to you at the end of your stay, after deduction of any compensation deducted, based on supporting invoices, for any damage noted in the departure inventory. Withholding the deposit does not exclude additional compensation if the costs exceed the amount of the deposit.
If the accommodation has not been cleaned before departure, the cleaning deposit will be retained.
For any departure outside the reception opening hours, a mandatory cleaning fee, ranging from €80 to €95 depending on the accommodation, will be charged.
For late departures, you may be charged for an extra day at the current nightly rate.
DEPOSIT
For rentals, a security deposit of between €200 and €450 is required to cover any potential damage to the accommodation or its equipment, as well as an additional €100 cleaning deposit to cover possible cleaning costs at the end of the stay.
This deposit can be paid before arrival by credit card through the secure Swikly service, which is strongly recommended, or upon arrival at the campsite.
These deposits are returned on the day of departure after an inventory has been made. Under no circumstances will the key to the mobile home be issued without the deposit.
For camping pitches, a deposit will be required if equipment is rented.
PETS
Pets (- 10 kg) are only allowed with prior approval from the campsite management, exclusively during the low season, and only:
- on camping pitches,
- in mobile homes identified on our website with the “Pet friendly” icon,
subject to a fee, payable at the time of booking.
Category 1 and Category 2 dogs are not permitted on the campsite.
If a pet is present in a mobile home, the end-of-stay cleaning fee becomes mandatory and must be added at the time of booking.
Pets must be kept on a leash at all times within the campsite.
The campsite management reserves the right to refuse access or terminate the stay without refund in the event of non-compliance with these conditions.
Pets must not interfere with the peace and safety of residents and must observe basic rules of hygiene. Dogs are not allowed near swimming pools, in food shops or in buildings. Dog and cat vaccination records must be up to date.
CANCELLATION AND CHANGES
1. Changing your booking
Customers may request a change to their stay (campsite, date and/or type of accommodation) by writing to the campsite (by post or e-mail), subject to availability. No postponements will be accepted for the following season. Customers should note that in the event of a change to their stay, they will not be able to benefit from any promotions after their initial reservation, as the date of the first reservation will apply. In the absence of a change, the customer will be obliged to continue with the holiday as originally booked or to cancel it in accordance with the terms of the cancellation insurance.
- Any request to increase the length of your stay will be subject to availability and current rates.
- Any request to reduce the length of your stay is considered as a partial cancellation and will be subject to the cancellation and interruption of stay conditions.
In the absence of a message from you indicating a postponement of your arrival date, the accommodation may become available for sale again 24 hours after the arrival date stated on the contract, and you will consequently lose the benefit of your reservation.
2. Unused benefits
If your stay is interrupted or cut short (late arrival, early departure), you will not be entitled to a refund for any reason whatsoever.
3. Cancellation by Domaine de Gil
In the event of cancellation by the Domaine de Gil, except in cases of force majeure, the holiday will be refunded in full.
However, this cancellation cannot give rise to the payment of damages.
4. Cancellation by the camper
Cancellation and interruption of stay insurance is optional and payable in addition to the rental price at the same time as the deposit. No refunds will be made without cancellation insurance.
All bookings must be cancelled in writing (by recorded delivery) to the Domaine de Gil.
If the cancellation occurs:
- More than 30 days before the start of your stay: the deposit will be retained as compensation.
- Less than 30 days before the start of your stay: 100% of the cost of your stay will be charged and no refund will be given.
CANCELLATION INSURANCE
Cancellation insurance can only be taken out at the time of the initial booking request. The customer undertakes to take note of the general terms and conditions of insurance offered at the time of the initial booking. The general terms and conditions of cancellation insurance can be consulted at any time on our website.
RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTUAL CUSTOMER
The contractual customer of the accommodation or pitch (name given on the booking form) undertakes to use, and to ensure that any person accompanying him/her use, the park facilities and installations in accordance with their intended purpose and normal use. In particular, they undertake to leave their accommodation or pitch in good condition when they leave at the end of their stay. Any damage to the premises, loss or destruction of the furnishings in the mobile homes or public buildings in the park will automatically incur the liability of the person responsible. The contractual customer of accommodation or a pitch is considered to be personally liable for all damage, loss, deterioration, disturbance or nuisance caused by people staying with him or visiting him. The contractual customer of the accommodation or pitch acknowledges that he/she has read the park’s internal rules and undertakes to respect them and to ensure that they are respected by the persons accompanying or visiting him/her. If a customer disturbs or causes nuisance to other customers or affects the integrity of shared facilities, the campsite reserves the right to immediately terminate their stay without payment of any compensation and without prejudice to any claims for compensation that the campsite or third parties may make against them.
The same would apply if the campsite were to find that the accommodation was being improperly occupied (number of occupants greater than the authorized capacity of the accommodation). The customer certifies that he/she has a civil liability policy with his/her insurer covering damage caused to the rented or entrusted property (provide certificate).
INTERNAL RULES (extract)
Campers must comply with the campsite and swimming pool rules.
The rental ‘parking’ area or the campsite pitch is designed for one vehicle only. All other vehicles must park outside the campsite.

Swimming in the pool is only permitted in SLIP OF BATH OR BOXER MANDATORY, one-piece and two-piece swimming costumes. No drinking, eating or smoking on the beaches. No large inflatable buoys or animals allowed.
Swimming and pools unsupervised. Children remain under the supervision of their parents. For obvious safety reasons, children who cannot swim or are very young must wear a belt or inflatable armbands (on sale in the grocery shop).
Do not book a sunbed if you are not physically present at the pool! Your towel will be removed by our staff.
Wi-Fi / HOTSPOT CAFÉ: Music and film downloads prohibited!
ATTENTION:Â Tents are not permitted on rental pitches.
ELECTRIC VEHICLE: For safety reasons, it is forbidden to charge your electric vehicle by plugging in at the rental accommodation or at the pitch terminals.

Campfires and charcoal barbecues are strictly prohibited by prefectural decree. Only gas barbecues are permitted.
BRACELET: You MUST wear a wristband (given to you on arrival) permanently until the end of your stay. It gives access to entertainment and swimming pools and helps to reinforce security in the establishment.
VISITORS:Â Visitors must register on arrival and pay a fee. They are admitted between 11am and 10.30pm. They must park their cars in the car park outside the campsite and report to reception (or the bar if closed) on arrival. Dogs and access to the swimming pool are prohibited for safety and insurance reasons. Any abuse by visitors or tenants with visitors may result in eviction.
TRAFFIC: The speed limit is 10 km/h. The gates are closed between 11pm and 7am, and all traffic is prohibited during this period.
NOISE: All campers must respect the quiet of the night between 11pm and 7am. Scooters and motorbikes are prohibited between 11pm and 7am and quad bikes, pocket bikes, etc. are strictly forbidden on the Estate.
If a customer disturbs the stay of other users, does not respect the provisions of the internal regulations or has given false information concerning the occupants of the plot, the manager or his representative may, orally or in writing, if he deems it necessary, give formal notice to the customer to cease the disturbance. In the event of serious or repeated breaches of the internal regulations, and after the manager has served formal notice to comply, the contract may be terminated. In the event of a criminal offence, the manager may call in the police.
RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CAMPSITE
Under no circumstances will the campsite be responsible for the safekeeping of personal belongings within the grounds of the park. The campsite cannot be held liable, beyond its legal responsibility, in the event of:
- Theft, loss, damage or deterioration of personal belongings of any kind, during or following a stay.
- Breakdown or outage of technical equipment, breakdown or permanent or temporary closure of certain campsite facilities when these are beyond its control and linked to force majeure.
- One-off measures taken by the campsite management to restrict access to certain facilities, including changing rooms and the swimming pool, when this is necessary to comply with safety standards or for periodic maintenance work.
- Damage caused to or suffered by customers’ vehicles parked or travelling on the campsite premises, even if they have been expressly authorized to enter.
- Changes to the program or activities on offer.
In low season, and for reasons linked to visitor numbers, the campsite reserves the right to modify or cancel certain installations, facilities, services or planned activities. For all low season bookings, we advise you to contact the campsite to confirm these points.
